Due to poor management, ownership squabbles and a decline in attendance, Whalom Park closed after the 2000 season. Although efforts were made to save and rebuild the park, it was sold in 2006 to a land developer for the construction of a multi-million dollar, 240 unit condominium complex to be named "Emerald Estates". This website is dedicated to preserving the memory of what a wonderful amusement park it once was...for over 100 years!
